Description
As an Installation and Configuration specialist, your role involves setting up and configuring various servers including Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, and Web Server. You will be responsible for installing and configuring different server instances such as JAS/HTML Server, BSSV Server, and AIS Server. Additionally, you will manage the installation and configuration of Server Manager and Server Manager Agents, create installation plans, and conduct post-installation log analysis and surface testing. Your responsibilities also include performing various upgrade activities such as application release upgrades, tools release upgrades, normal upgrades, and multi-foundation upgrades. You will be involved in the promotion and testing of objects in the upgraded ERP system and ensuring surface testing of the upgraded instances. In terms of User/Role Management, you will be creating user IDs, test and production roles, assigning environments to roles, assigning roles to users, resetting passwords for user IDs, and managing users and roles. Security Management will be a key aspect of your role, where you will set up security for different roles, configure various types of securities, promote security changes from test to production, and identify and resolve security conflicts. Object Management Configuration will involve setting up status flows for object promotion, configuring roles for status change, defining transfer activity rules, and setting up allowed actions related to objects and OMW roles. Package Management responsibilities include building and deploying full and update packages, backing up objects, and executing special instructions. You will also be responsible for Change Management activities, Menu (Task View) Management, Job Scheduling, Web Client (Fat Client) Management, ESU/ASU Management, Data Source Management and Object Configuration Mappings, Job Queue Setups, Printer Setups, Infrastructure Setups, Monitoring Activities, and Maintenance Activities. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the successful installation, configuration, and management of various servers and systems within the organization.
