Job Description

The Pre-Sales Executive will support the sales team by understanding client requirements, crafting tailored insurance solutions, and delivering compelling presentations. This role bridges the gap between client needs and insurer offerings, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Qualification: Identify and target potential clients, actively engaging in cold calling, lead nurturing, and follow-ups to qualify prospective customers and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Needs Assessment and Solution Design: Engage with prospective clients to understand their insurance requirements, conduct thorough risk assessments, and present appropriate insurance solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Sales Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, preparing impactful presentations and proposals, assisting with client data management, and coordinating with underwriters to secure the best policy terms for clients.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Stay updated on insurance products, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and provide valuable insights to the sales team.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through effective engagement and proactive communication, ensuring a seamless and positive client experience.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain and update client records accurately using CRM systems and other internal tools, preparing reports as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Freshers or candidates with up to 4 years of experience in pre-sales or client-facing roles within insurance broking are welcome.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Insurance, or related field.
  • Certification in insurance (e.g., IRDAI, III) is a plus but not mandatory.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Basic understanding of insurance concepts (group insurance, employee benefits, or commercial lines).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and insurance quoting platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, underwriting, and operations teams.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
