Job Description

Job Title: ELV Project Manager

  • Plan and execute ELV projects from initiation to completion.
  • Prepare project schedule, resource planning, and work breakdown structure.
  • Allocate tasks to engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Ensure project progress aligns with timelines and contractual requirements.

2. Installation & Technical Supervision

  • Oversee installation of ELV systems:
    • CCTV & Surveillance
    • Fire Alarm System
    • Access Control & Biometric System
    • Public Address System
    • Networking & Structured Cabling
    • BMS / Home Automation
    • Video Door Phone & Intercom
  • Ensure installation is done strictly as per approved drawings, standards, and OEM guidelines.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Attend project review meetings and provide progress updates.
  • Resolve technical issues, site conflicts, and material availability concerns.
  • Liaise with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning of all ELV systems.
  • Ensure all system functions meet required performance standards.
  • Prepare handover documents, test reports, as-built drawings, and training manuals.
  • Conduct training for clients/end-users after project completion.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project reports, daily progress reports, and material consumption records.
  • Prepare material requirement sheets, and project documentation.
  • Ensure updated drawings, checklists, and commissioning reports are maintained for audit and handover.

6. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise site teams, ensuring productive performance.
  • Monitor work quality and guide engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct site toolbox meetings and ensure adherence to safety norms.

7. Budget & Material Management

  • Control project cost, avoid wastage, and ensure resource optimization.
  • Track material usage and maintain proper inventory at site.
  • Approve material requests and coordinate procurement with the office.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of all major ELV systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret ELV drawings (layout, single-line, schematic).
  • Proficient in project planning tools and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Strong client communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and work under pressure.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to different project locations.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and manage site challenges.
  • Prior experience in ELV/Fire/Security/IT infrastructure projects is preferred.
