Job Description

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, along with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing. This role requires a proactive individual who takes ownership, collaborates effectively, and ensures the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Conduct manual and automated testing across web, mobile (Android & iOS), and API platforms.
Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.
Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, clarify functionality, and ensure product quality.
Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices throughout the SDLC.
Utilize databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc., for validating data and writing queries.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing environments.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Any Engineering degree

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of QA tools, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing techniques.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
Solid understanding of API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
High level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality results.
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
Exposure to logging, monitoring, and web server tools.
Prior experience in startup or product-based environments.
