Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with 5+ years of proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying impactful Power BI dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data modeling, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.

Roles and Responsibility

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Create data models, DAX formulas, and calculated measures/columns to support business logic.
Build Power BI dashboards using customer-provided templates and standards.
Integrate Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, Azure, APIs, SharePoint, etc.
Optimize dashboard and report performance with appropriate indexing and data reduction techniques.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Implement row-level security (RLS), scheduled data refreshes, and workspace management in Power BI Service.
Document technical specifications, processes, and provide training/support to end-users.
Stay up to date with new features of Power BI and recommend best practices for usage and governance.
Contribute to data governance, data quality, and data security efforts.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and Power BI Dataflows.
Proficient in data modeling, ETL design, and performance tuning.
Experience with SQL Server/T-SQL and writing complex queries.
Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL) is a plus.
Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and user experience design.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) or other relevant certifications are preferred.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Familiarity with Python or R for data analytics is a plus.
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD for BI, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
