PostgreSQL Database Engineer/Administrator

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration and development.

  • Strong expertise in

    performance tuning, query optimization.

  • Candidates must be from B.Tech/BE/M.Tech educational background

    .
  • Experience with high availability, replication, failover, and backup/restore mechanisms.

  • Candidate must be good at writing Logical PG-SQL queries based on the scenarios, identifying client issues in production server and also must be good at writing and modifying existing procedures and functions as the requirement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers.
  • Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
  • Manage database backup, restore, archiving, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, functions, triggers, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Support application teams with query tuning, schema design, and performance debugging.
