About the Role

Podcast Guest Acquisition & Outreach

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and converting high-value guests for Afleo’s weekly podcast series, featuring industry experts, exporters, importers, government officials, trainers, EPC leaders, trade finance specialists, and global trade professionals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Identification & Targeting

  • Identify and shortlist relevant podcast guests across categories:
    • Exporters & importers (product-wise segmentation)
    • International logistics & EXIM experts
    • Export trainers, consultants, and authors
    • Export Promotion Council (EPC) Chairmen & officials
    • Trade finance specialists
    • DGFT, Customs & Commerce Ministry professionals
    • Trade officers from Indian embassies abroad & foreign embassies in India
    • Researchers & analysts in global trade (e.g., GTRI)
  • Focus on high-priority Mumbai-based guests.

2. LinkedIn Outreach & Prospecting

  • Send

    10 new targeted LinkedIn connection requests daily

    to potential guests.
  • Monitor LinkedIn feed daily, interact with posts, and build relationship through:
    • Likes
    • Meaningful comments
    • Smart engagement to warm up prospects
  • Track reciprocation and move to private messaging when suitable.
  • Pitch guests with standard messaging + podcast pitch PDF.
  • Maintain diversity across industries (rice, grains, millets, pharmaceuticals, handicraft, chemicals, etc.).

3. Export Performance Screening

  • Use Afleo’s internal export turnover check tool to verify guest eligibility before outreach.
  • Identify high-value companies and decision-makers for impactful episodes.

4. Community Building & Networking

  • Attend EXIM-related events, trade fairs, EPC seminars, awards, and exhibitions.
  • Identify promising exporters or experts, check their trade performance, and approach them for the podcast.
  • Build relationships with potential guests, past guests, and their referral networks.
  • Create a referral chain through:
    • Previous guests
    • EXIM community
    • Active audience

5. Continuous Research & Pipeline Building

  • Maintain an active, updated pipeline of prospects.
  • Join online communities, LinkedIn groups, and webinars relevant to international trade.
  • Track industry trends to shortlist new podcast-worthy individuals.

6. Weekly Podcast Target Achievement

  • Ensure

    minimum one confirmed podcast guest per week

  • Coordinate with hosts, internal teams, and guests for scheduling.
