PMO Manager
Storable is looking for a PMO Manager to lead a team of Program Managers. The Program Manager team helps facilitate our software development process. This includes a focus on tracking, aggregating, and communicating risks, dependencies, milestones, and roadmaps at the cross-team level. You will collaborate with cross-functional, highly skilled engineering teams in a fast-moving environment where everyone s common goal is to deliver outstanding outcomes while having fun. As a PMO Manager at Storable, you must be passionate about communication, group dynamics, and coaching. You are not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments on behalf of teams. You should be comfortable working with projects directly as well as managing other Program Managers. You should be able to thrive in an open-ended environment where roles are flexible, everything is changing and communication is essential.
What you ll do every day:
Coach and develop Program Managers to grow in their capabilities of working with the engineering teams
- Encourage Program Managers to work together and lean on each other for growth and support
- Identify (and help Program Managers identify) areas of improvement for Program Managers
- Handle performance issues proactively, professionally, and directly.
Fostering strong partnership and collaboration with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to understand outcomes, team milestones, and delivery
- Ensure teams are following Storable best practices through either facilitation or empowerment
Ensure teams are striving for continuous improvement,
Raise urgent issues appropriately and promptly drive them to closure
- Ensures transparency & effective reporting
- Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery
- Owns risk management & removing impediments from teams, escalating issues when necessary.
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Enablement to establish and drive the adoption of program frameworks, tools, and standard methodologies.
What you need to bring to the table:
- 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager (or equivalent)
- Management experience
- Servant Leadership; not a command & control leadership style
- Exemplary verbal and written communication
- Ability to build strong foundations of partnerships and accountability
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and thought leadership
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders successfully and lead cross-functional teams across geographies
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with extreme attention to detail
