Job Title: PLC Programmer /Automation Engineer/Commissioning Engineer Tyre Industry (Rockwell PLCs)

Location: Bhosari, Pune (Primary) & occasionally Viman Nagar

International travel required (commissioning, training)

A leading multinational in the electronics and industrial automation domain, specializing in high-precision measurement systems, automated production lines, and advanced robotics.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer with strong expertise in Rockwell (Studio 5000) systems, preferably with hands-on exposure in the tyre manufacturing industry. The role involves PLC development, commissioning, customer interaction, and international travel for project execution and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming and development of automated production lines, measuring systems, and robotic applications.
• Creating and executing new PLC projects primarily using Rockwell Studio 5000; secondary exposure to Siemens TIA Portal is an advantage.
• Commissioning, installation, and testing of automation systems at customer sites (India & Europe).
• Setting parameters for motors, peripherals, machine components, and performing overall machine start-up.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving errors on automated lines.
• Providing remote customer support for deployed systems.
• Preparing technical reports, analyses, and documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
• Communicating with customers (mainly English) to gather technical inputs during project planning.
• Collaborating with European engineering teams

Requirements:

Mandatory Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on PLC programming experience with

  Rockwell Studio 5000.

• Strong background in automation for the

  tyre industry (highly preferred).

• Machine start-up experience: motor tuning, peripheral setup, machine & component parametrization.
• Experience in troubleshooting automated machinery and production lines.
• OPC UA knowledge and implementation experience.
• Exposure to installation, deployment, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Understanding of electrical systems and switchboard wiring (advantage).

Travel & Deployment Requirements:

• Willingness to travel to Pan India and globally for commissioning, customer training, and technical workshops.
• Commissioning trips may also last 2–3 weeks at a stretch (typically 1 to 3 times per year).
• Must be comfortable with international work culture and maintaining communication with cross-border teams.
