Platform Engineering Manager

To be considered for this role, candidates are required to have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in platform/DevOps/SRE roles, with at least 2 years of experience in either a technical or people leadership role. **Responsibilities:** - Lead and cultivate the platform engineering team, consisting of DevOps engineers, site reliability engineers, and infrastructure developers located in different regions. - Define and enhance CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and environment provisioning strategies for both cloud-based and casino-deployed systems. - Take ownership of improving our cloud/on-premise infrastructure footprint, particularly focusing on hybrid architectures such as AWS, on-site servers, and edge nodes. - Advocate for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi. - Develop and enforce observability standards including monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, and oversee incident response and postmortem processes. - Collaborate closely with product engineering to ensure smooth build, test, deploy workflows and minimize lead time from code to production. - Optimize and secure infrastructure for performance, scalability, redundancy, and compliance, especially in regulated gaming environments. - Guide architectural decisions regarding deployment topologies, secrets management, data replication, and failover strategies. - Establish governance for access control, environment segregation, and secure credentials handling. - Monitor and manage infrastructure expenditure, optimizing for cost efficiency while maintaining reliability and compliance. **Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is required; Master's degree is preferred. - 7+ years of experience in platform/DevOps/SRE roles, with at least 2 years in a technical or people leadership role. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes. - In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience supporting on-premise or edge deployments. - Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm. - Experience in deploying, scaling, and monitoring high-availability systems across various environments. - Strong understanding of networking, service meshes, VPNs, and secure inter-service communication. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA, product, and compliance teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and adept at documenting architectures, processes, and decisions clearly. - Possess an organized and analytical working style with the ability to plan your own work effectively. - Proactive and self-driven individual with a strong initiative to accomplish great things. **Nice to have:** - Experience in supporting IoT or hybrid edge-cloud systems, particularly in regulated or mission-critical industries. - Exposure to observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog. - Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks relevant to gaming or financial industries such as GLI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001. - Background in casino systems, gaming hardware/software integration, or embedded platforms. **About The Company/Benefits:** Plan A Technologies is an American software development and technology advisory firm known for providing top-tier engineering talent to clients globally.
