Plant Procurement Manager Beverages

Role Purpose

end-to-end procurement and commercial management

Role & responsibilities

Greenfield Project Procurement (Core Focus)

• Lead

  procurement for greenfield beverage plant projects

  , from concept to commissioning.
• Manage sourcing of

  CAPEX items

  including:
• Bottling & packaging lines (PET / Glass / Can)
  
• Process equipment (mixers, syrup rooms, pasteurizers)
  
• Utilities (boilers, chillers, compressors, RO, WTP, ETP)
  
• Electricals, instrumentation, automation, and civil packages
  
• Work closely with

  Engineering, Projects, and OEMs

  for technical-commercial finalization.
• Drive

  RFQ, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, contracting, and PO releases

  .
• Ensure on-time delivery aligned with project timelines.
  

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Develop and manage

  strategic supplier base

  for beverages and FMCG plants.
• Lead

  vendor evaluation, qualification, audits, and development

  .
• Negotiate long-term contracts, rate agreements, and service SLAs.
  
• Manage imports, OEM tie-ups, and localization strategies.
  

Commercial & Cost Management

• Drive

  cost optimization and value engineering

  during project phase.
• Track and control

  CAPEX budgets

  and procurement savings.
• Ensure commercial governance, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.
  
• Manage payment terms, milestones, and claim settlements.
  

Plant & Operational Procurement (Post-Commissioning)

• Oversee

  plant procurement

  of:
• Packaging materials (PET preforms, caps, labels, cartons)
  
• RM & PM
  
• Spares, MRO, utilities consumables, and services
  
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and continuity of supply.
  
• Coordinate with planning and operations teams.
  

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with

  Projects, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, Quality, and SCM

  .
• Support statutory, quality, and internal audits.
  
• Interface with external stakeholders including

  OEMs, EPCs, contractors, and logistics partners

  .

Systems & Compliance

• Implement and adhere to

  procurement SOPs, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)

  , and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with

  ethical sourcing, ESG, and statutory norms

  .
• Maintain strong documentation and MIS.
  

Must-Have Experience (Critical)

• Proven experience in greenfield beverage plant procurement

• Strong exposure to

  CAPEX sourcing for bottling & packaging lines

• Experience working with

  OEMs and EPC partners

• Sound understanding of

  beverage manufacturing equipment and utilities
