Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned procurement and stores professional to lead Purchase & Stores operations for our dairy manufacturing facility. The role involves strategic sourcing, inventory control, vendor management, and compliance to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Head end-to-end purchase and stores operations including raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, consumables, and services. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and cost objectives. Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely supply. Ensure optimal inventory planning, control, and stock accuracy ; minimize slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials as per FIFO/FEFO norms. Coordinate with Production, QA, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams for material planning and cost control. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory norms . Monitor purchase budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and vendor performance metrics. Implement ERP / MIS systems for purchase and stores and ensure data accuracy. Lead, train, and develop the purchase & stores team to improve operational efficiency. Handle audits (internal, statutory, ISO, FSSAI) related to purchase and inventory.
