Plant Operator

As a Plant Operator, your main responsibilities will include operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery and utility equipment such as compressors, pumps, boilers, and chillers. You will be expected to conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure that all machinery is operating at optimal levels. In the event of operational or mechanical issues, your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving these problems efficiently to minimize downtime. Additionally, you may be required to support electrical maintenance activities, including basic wiring, motor control panels, and troubleshooting electrical faults if you possess the necessary qualifications. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations is a crucial part of the role, as well as maintaining accurate records of operational data, maintenance logs, and incident reports. Collaboration with the maintenance and production teams will be essential to optimize plant performance. You may also be involved in shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and commissioning activities as needed. Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives are expected from you. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Diploma, ITI, or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Ideally, you should have 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial plant setting. Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining industrial machinery and utilities is required, and a basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and control panels would be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a shift-based and fast-paced environment are essential. Good communication and teamwork skills will also be beneficial in this role. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will need to be available for both day and night shifts as per the requirements of the work location.
