Nexteel Industries Pvt Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Stainless Steel Water Tanks and a precision manufacturer of sheet metal and deep drawn components for the automotive and stainless steel tank industries . We are now hiring a dynamic Head of Plant Operations to drive production excellence and new product development (NPD) with a process-driven, cost-conscious approach . Key Responsibilities: Plant & Production Operations Lead day-to-day operations of two plants (Nexteel & Exenus). Execute and monitor production plans as per target timelines and output. Ensure optimum utilization of machines, materials, and manpower. Process Orientation & Technical Ownership Establish and enforce SOPs across all functions welding, stamping, fabrication, assembly. Drive a process-based culture with a focus on lean manufacturing, quality, and efficiency. Supervise welding quality, fixture design, and sheet metal processing deep draw, hydraulic stamping, etc. Quality Assurance & Rejection Control Implement in-process and final quality checks. Reduce rejection and rework through root cause analysis and process correction. Work closely with QA to meet internal and customer quality standards. Cost & Profitability Management Monitor cost per unit, wastage, and energy consumption. Suggest and implement cost-saving initiatives. Improve machine uptime and reduce unplanned downtime. Team & Culture Leadership Manage supervisors, operators, and technical staff across shifts. Train, mentor, and build a high-performance workforce. Maintain discipline, safety, and positive work culture on the shop floor. New Product Development (NPD) Convert product concepts into manufacturable items. Collaborate with MD and R&D for trial production, tooling needs, and feasibility. Handle pilot runs and coordinate with vendors when needed. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monthly output targets (SS tanks & components) Rejection & rework reduction NPD lead time (from concept to production) Cost per unit efficiency Downtime reduction SOP compliance across departments Desired Candidate Profile: Education: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Industrial Experience: 10+ years in plant operations, preferably in sheet metal, tank manufacturing, or auto components Skills: Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal , welding , hydraulic stamping , and fabrication Expertise in Lean, 5S, Kaizen , or similar systems Proven ability to create and implement SOPs and quality systems Team leadership with process-oriented decision-making Cost and output-focused execution skills.
