Role & responsibilities

1. To convert sales forecast into timely product dispatches by proper planning, scheduling, and resource utilization

2. To coordinate with the supply chain department for timely dispatches, maintaining standard storage conditions, and arranging

3. The necessary raw materials, chemicals, fuels, etc. for production requirements

4. Responsible for the overall quality of the Product and by-products

5. To monitor and control the Engineering department. on all maintenance-related activities to enhance reliability & productivity.

6. To support the Engineering Department on modifications, expansions to meet business requirements.

7. To guide & execute standards in plant covering overall safety, ISO, 5S, TPM & management initiatives in the plant.

8. To Monitor, analyze, control, and improve the technical efficiency of the plant

9. To support the Research & Development Department on new product development.

10. Directly or indirectly handling workmen, ensuring overall shop floor discipline, and interacting and resolving operational issues with HR guidance

11. To identify skill and technical gaps in the workforce, develop training programs to uplift them for multiskilling.

12. To create a performance-driven culture

13. To initiate Cost Efficiency Projects in coordination with cross-functional teams with employee involvement.

14. Overall, Responsible for ensuring Best GHK practice in the Plant.

15. To monitor production performances with unit targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

A minimum of 15 years of experience in any one of the following industries, and must have one time

Experience with edible oil refinery

Oils and fat Processing, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Petroleum refinery, and solvent recovery or Fractional distillation.

Should be a First Class Graduate in Oil Technology / Chemical Engineering with a sound knowledge of oil Refining,

Esterification and distillation. Post-graduate in Business Management is an added advantage.

Sound Knowledge of Oil Chemistry, Chemical Processing Technology, and its application (Refining of Oils, Esterification

and distillation.)

- Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools like 7QC, Quality Control techniques, and GMP.

- Effective leadership, management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in handling Union and good communication and interpersonal skills
