Piping Stress Engineer

As a Senior Piping Stress Engineer in technology projects at KBR's Technology Business Unit in Houston, your responsibilities will include performing stress and support engineering activities for assigned projects. This involves analyzing stress in various equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Perform stress analysis of piping connected to equipment like columns, tanks, exchangers, pumps, compressors, and reactors. - Conduct stress analysis and support for non-metallic piping such as PTFE, glass, and glass-lined materials. - Address technical issues related to stress and supports engineering, prioritize engineering activities, and plan deliverables. - Collaborate with vendors for special support design elements like springs and expansion joints. - Review and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and other project documents. - Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions. - Interface with clients to understand project requirements and ensure high-quality engineering solutions. - Utilize industry-standard software for stress analysis, such as Caesar II, and demonstrate strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, EN, BS, etc.). - Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication within a collaborative team environment.
