Position : Production Officer PTFE (Teflon Tape) Department : Production Company : Astral Adhesives Location : Rania Plant, Kanpur Experience Required : 2–5 years in PTFE/Teflon Tape manufacturing or similar production environment Qualification : Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastic, or Chemical Engineering About the Role: Astral Adhesives is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Officer for its PTFE (Teflon Tape) manufacturing unit at Rania Plant, Kanpur. The role requires expertise in production operations , OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement , quality control , and adherence to safety standards . The candidate should also be proficient in using measurement instruments and analyzing defects and their impact on production. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Supervise and manage the production of PTFE/Teflon tapes ensuring adherence to daily targets and quality standards. Plan and execute production schedules and manpower allocation for optimal efficiency. OEE Improvement: Monitor and improve OEE parameters by identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions. Minimize downtime, rework, and material wastage. Defect Identification & Quality Control: Conduct root cause analysis for recurring product defects. Collaborate with the QA team to define corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) . Use tools such as fishbone diagram, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis , etc., for defect analysis. Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with plant safety protocols and standard operating procedures . Conduct safety toolbox talks and monitor safe work practices on the shop floor. Instrumentation & Measurement: Operate and interpret data from measurement instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, etc. Ensure dimensional and physical properties of the product meet specifications.
