Piping Engineer-Skid

JOB Summary

• We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in skid/package engineering and design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or process plant applications.
• The role involves the design, layout, and integration of static and rotating equipment within skid-mounted systems, ensuring compliance with international codes and project specifications.
  

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design for skid-mounted equipment including pumps, vessels, tanks, piping, and structural frames.
• Prepare general arrangement (GA) drawings, piping layouts, equipment models, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform strength calculations, material selection, and equipment sizing in line with ASME/API/ISO standards.
• Support preparation and review of datasheets, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with process, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure proper integration.
• Review vendor drawings/documents and participate in technical bid evaluations.
• Provide support during fabrication, assembly, FAT, and commissioning.
  

Technical And Industry Experience

• Hands-on experience in skid/package design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API standards, ASTM, and piping codes (ASME B31.3/B31.1).
• Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors) and static equipment (vessels, tanks, heat exchangers).
• Exposure to fabrication, welding, and skid assembly practices.
• Familiarity with structural design of skid base frames is desirable.
  

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in skid/package engineering & design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D (or equivalent 3D tools).
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and vendor drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
