Piping Design Instructor

experienced Piping Design Instructor (Online – Part-Time/Weekend)

strong domain expertise, hands-on project experience, and a passion for teaching

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct

  online training sessions

  on piping design software such as:

• AutoCAD Plant 3D

• Smart Plant 3D (SP3D)

• CAESAR II (Pipe Stress Analysis)

• AutoCAD P&ID

• Deliver

  practical knowledge

  of piping systems, layouts, isometric drawings, material specifications, and design codes.
• Develop and update

  training modules, assignments, and case studies

  aligned with industry needs.
• Provide

  hands-on demonstrations

  with real-world workflows (piping layouts, stress analysis, supports, etc.).
• Guide learners in

  project execution, portfolio preparation, and certification readiness

  .
• Conduct

  assessments and evaluations

  to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with

  industry standards and codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO, API, ASTM)

  and integrate them into training.
• Collaborate with Augmintech’s

  curriculum team

  to ensure content matches global piping engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Mechanical, Piping, or Chemical Engineering

  (or related field).
• Proficiency in at least

  2 or more piping design software

  , such as:

• AutoCAD Plant 3D

• Smart Plant 3D (SP3D)

• CAESAR II

• AutoCAD P&ID

• 3–5 years of industry experience

  in piping design, detailing, and project execution (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plants preferred).
• Strong knowledge of

  PFDs, P&IDs, isometric drawings, material specs, and stress analysis

  .
• Prior

  teaching/training/mentoring experience (preferred)

  .
• Excellent

  communication and presentation skills

  .
• Familiarity with

  international codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).
