Piping Design Engineer

Role Overview: As a Piping Design Engineer at our Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Navi Mumbai, Airoli, you will play a crucial role in developing and reviewing piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings using advanced 3D modeling software like PDMS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and SmartPlant. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and piping specifications to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry best practices. Your role will involve conducting detailed technical evaluations, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, and compliance requirements are met. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings using 3D modeling software. - Prepare and review material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and piping specifications. - Conduct detailed technical evaluations to address issues with piping and system design. - Review project and contract deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications and piping best practices. - Participate in design reviews, risk assessment, HAZOPs, and vendor qualifications. - Coordinate with Assurance Engineers to align on quality, safety, and compliance requirements. - Support cost estimation activities by providing accurate input on piping quantities and design complexity. - Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization initiatives through design efficiency. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 12-15 years of experience in piping design within EPC, engineering consultancy, or client organizations. - Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as PDMS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and SmartPlant. - Strong understanding of piping materials, specifications, and fabrication techniques. - Familiarity with piping stress analysis tools like CAESAR II is a plus. - Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - Experience working in a global project environment with cross-border coordination. - Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software programs.,
