Piping Design Engineer

As a Piping Design Engineer at VSL Marine Technology, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for marine vessels and offshore platforms. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing piping systems for marine vessels and offshore platforms. - Preparing piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material take-offs. - Ensuring designs comply with applicable maritime standards and classification society regulations (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR). - Collaborating with structural and mechanical teams to ensure integration of systems. - Supporting in preparing technical documentation and design calculations. - Conducting 3D modeling and review using industry-standard tools. - Assisting in design reviews, approval processes, and client meetings when required. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in piping design. - Strong understanding of maritime standards and classification society requirements (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR). - In-depth knowledge of piping standards, materials, and marine equipment. - Proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation and specification development. - Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. - Mandatory software proficiency: AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD 2D. - Familiarity with shipyard processes, new builds, or retrofit projects.
