Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provide healthcare services typically performed by a Consultantunder the supervision of a Consultant. Conduct complete physicalsprovide treatmentand counsel patients.

Job Responsibilities:

Administer or order diagnostic testssuch as x-rayelectrocardiogramand laboratory tests.
Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
Obtaincompile and record patient medical dataincluding health historyprogress notes and results of physical examination.
Perform therapeutic proceduressuch as injections immunizationssuturing and wound careand infection management.
Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimensnormal growth and developmentfamily planningemotional problems of daily livingand health maintenance.
Prescribe therapy or medication with Consultant s approval.
Supervise and coordinate activities of technicians and technical assistants.
Visit and observe patients on hospital rounds or house callsupdating chartsordering therapyand reporting back to physician.
Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or complicated medical procedures.
Order medical and laboratory supplies and equipment.

Candidate Requirements:

Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
Ability to comprehend written instructions given by the related departmental personnel.
Ability to plan & organize ones work schedule effectively.
Speaking and listening are essential requirements to understand and carry out the instructions given by the supervisors and other related departmental personnel.
Affinity to work in team.
Enthusiasm.
