At Orthopaedic Associates, we provide a full range of services for patients with orthopedic pathologies/surgeries, work related injuries and sports injuries. Our Rehab team consists of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapists and is built on the passion and experience of clinicians who are committed to delivering the highest quality care. Our emphasis is on a biomechanical approach consisting of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise aimed at treating the cause and not just the symptoms of a condition. We utilize a variety of evidence-based treatments and manual therapy techniques to create individualized treatment plans which are implemented during one-on-one treatment sessions, thus maximizing the potential for each patient to achieve his/her specific goals. Position Summary The Physical Therapist (PT) provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitative services to patients to improve mobility and function and also relieve pain and disability. Designs, implements, and documents appropriate initial plan of care and sets measurable goals based on patients' age, total needs perspective and environment. Demonstrates and articulates sound clinical reasoning through synthesizing evaluation data from initial patient assessment, medical history and physician orders to develop a comprehensive plan of care. Follows intervention protocols and adapts conventional therapy techniques to meet the needs of the patient. performs regular re-evaluations to determine patient progress and adjusts or alters plan of care accordingly. Records, monitors, and analyzes clinical date to review, reevaluate and modify treatment plan and goals. Demonstrates use of the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care; collaborates, confers and updates physician, patient, family and other team members regarding patient progress, treatment, and discharge planning. Determines when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Establishes provisions for continuing services and makes referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary. Qualifications Strong interest in private practice orthopedics. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Florida licensure preferred or must be eligible to become licensed in the State of Florida. Must share our mission to maintain the highest quality of patient care governed by honesty and integrity. Experience in Manual Therapy preferred. Excellent work ethic in both independent and collaborative settings. Stong written and verbal communication skills.
