PHP Developer

PearlSoft Technologies LLC, Cochin is looking for a skilled and motivated PHP Developer with 4.5–6 years of hands-on

experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

developing and maintaining dynamic web applications, ensuring performance, scalability,

and security. You should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-

paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Write clean, well-designed code using PHP and frameworks like Laravel

· Develop and maintain backend components, APIs, and web services.

· Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-

facing elements.

· Optimize applications for speed and scalability.

· Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases.

· Follow industry best practices and coding standards.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

· Work closely with product and design teams to implement new features and

enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering.

· 4.5–6 years of professional experience in PHP development.

· Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC architecture.

· Solid experience in application development, including the full software development

lifecycle (SDLC).

· Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel

· Proficient in SQL and experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.

· Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.

· Version control experience using Git.

· Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

· Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and testing.

· Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team

environment.

· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

· Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

· Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
