Photographer (Wedding Storytelling Team)

As a full-time Photographer at Bioscope, you will be responsible for more than just capturing images - you will be a crucial part of the storytelling process. Your role will involve interacting with clients, managing on-ground teams during weddings, and ensuring that the emotional weight of each event is respectfully and beautifully captured. Your key responsibilities will include photographing weddings and pre-wedding events with a narrative-driven approach, capturing authentic moments, emotions, and details with strong composition and timing. Additionally, you will be expected to cull and edit 30-50 key images on the same day of the event for social media and client previews, delivering files efficiently with proper backup and organization. Client communication is a vital aspect of this role, as you will interact with couples pre-event to understand their vision, comfort, and expectations. You will guide clients on what works best visually, such as poses, lighting, and decor impact, while representing Bioscope's storytelling philosophy clearly and warmly. Furthermore, you will be responsible for communicating photography requirements to event planners, decorators, and related vendors, tracking, preparing, and managing equipment required for each shoot, and coordinating with the in-house team. In the absence of senior directors, you will handle full event responsibilities. To be successful in this position, you should have a minimum of 3 years of full-time wedding photography experience, a strong storytelling portfolio, proficiency in Lightroom and fast culling tools, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Hindi/Gujarati. A strong sense of responsibility, planning, and leadership is essential, along with the willingness to travel for destination weddings. Bonus skills that would be advantageous include pre-wedding direction or moodboard planning, knowledge of camera/lens gear planning and inventory management, and experience working in a fast-paced creative team environment.
