Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad), established in 2015 under the Public-Private Partnership model, is recognized as an Institute of National Importance under an Act of Parliament (23 of 2017). The institute offers rigorous undergraduate and PhD programs, focusing on high-end Information Technology (IT) education and research. Located on a state-of-the-art 60-acre permanent campus in Dharwad, Karnataka, IIIT Dharwad is dedicated to addressing India's IT skill gap and supporting the nation’s global leadership in IT and allied areas.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site PhD role at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad, located in Karnataka, India. As a PhD scholar, you will undertake advanced research within the institute's state-of-the-art facilities, conduct literature reviews, design and execute experiments or theoretical studies, and collaborate with leading academicians and industry partners. You will also contribute to academic publications, present research findings at conferences, and support educational activities as required.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields
• Research and analytical skills, including experience in conducting experiments, data analysis, and academic writing
• Effective communication and collaborative skills for engaging with teams and presenting research
• Proficiency in programming languages, software tools, or methodologies relevant to IT and allied research
• A master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Exceptional candidates with strong academic records at the bachelor’s level may also be considered
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and solving complex problems
