Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: Dr. John Arthur Ortho Hospital, Avadi, Chennai Job Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time – specify if needed] Department: Pharmacy Reports To: Pharmacist / Medical Director Job Summary: Dr. John Arthur Ortho Hospital is seeking a responsible and skilled Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will assist in dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring accurate and safe medication distribution to patients. This role plays a vital part in supporting the clinical team and ensuring high standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities: Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to inpatients and outpatients. Accurately label, package, and deliver prescriptions under supervision. Maintain updated records of medications, inventory levels, and expiry dates. Manage stock levels by receiving, organizing, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Process prescriptions and help handle insurance or billing issues if applicable. Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Provide courteous assistance to patients and medical staff regarding medication queries (as per protocol). Follow safety procedures, hygiene standards, and maintain confidentiality in all operations. Qualifications: D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification from a recognized institution. Valid registration with the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council. Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and handle busy environments. Work Schedule: Rotational shifts including weekends and public holidays, as required.
