Role OverviewThe Pharmacy Assistant will support the Pharmacist in daily operations of the clinic pharmacy, assist in dispensing medications, maintain inventory, ensure accurate record-keeping, and provide excellent service to patients. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, storage conditions, and basic computer/compliance skills. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in dispensing medicines as per prescription and pharmacist guidance Prepare and label medication packages correctly Maintain inventory – stock management, expiration tracking, reordering Handle billing and cash transactions accurately Provide basic information to patients regarding dosage schedules and storage Ensure proper storage of medicines as per guidelines Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and compliance with health protocols Support the Pharmacist with prescription entry and documentation Assist with online medicine ordering and vendor coordination Maintain records (batch number, expiry, billing, sales) Report shortages or discrepancies to the Pharmacist/Manager Follow clinic policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality protocols
