Pharmacy Incharge

You are responsible for overseeing the operations of the pharmacy as a Pharmacy Incharge. Your main duties include managing pharmacy staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with medical and legal regulations, and providing excellent pharmaceutical care to patients or customers. You will supervise daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, managing staff, and ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling of all pharmaceutical products. It is essential to maintain accurate stock levels, monitor expiry dates, and manage procurement of medicines and supplies. Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions is also part of your role, along with providing guidance to patients/customers on correct medication usage and storage. As a Pharmacy Incharge, you must ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards and maintain and update pharmacy records, including drug registers and patient billing data. Training and supervising pharmacy assistants and junior staff, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, conducting audits, inventory checks, and handling customer complaints are also key responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you need a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), with an M.Pharm preferred. A valid pharmacy license from the relevant state pharmacy council is required, along with a minimum of 2-3 years of pharmacy experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/incharge role. Strong understanding of pharmaceuticals, inventory systems, and regulatory requirements, along with excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. You should be able to manage a team and resolve operational challenges effectively. Preferred skills include experience in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings, familiarity with pharmacy management software, knowledge of drug procurement and vendor negotiation, and awareness of current drug trends and market availability.
