Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Medical Education & Teaching:

Develop and deliver lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and seminars in pharmacology for MBBS, MD, nursing, and other paramedical students.
Design and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and innovative teaching methods (e.g., computer-assisted learning, role plays).
Assess and evaluate student progress through examinations and various activities.

Research & Publication:

Plan, conduct, and guide both basic and clinical research projects (for self and students).
Analyze and interpret experimental data and publish research findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
Prepare and secure research grants from external funding bodies.
Ensure all research adheres to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Clinical and Institutional Duties:

Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize drug therapy and ensure rational drug use in the hospital setting.
Monitor and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) as part of pharmacovigilance programs.
Serve on various institutional committees, such as the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) or the Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC).
Provide expert advice on drug information, interactions, and poisoning cases.

Administration & Mentorship:

Participate in departmental and college-wide administrative activities and meetings.
Mentor and guide junior faculty members, residents, and postgraduate students.
