Job Description

Professor of Urology

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Advanced Patient Care:

Oversee all clinical operations of the Urology department, including outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, intensive care management, and advanced surgical centers.
Perform and supervise a comprehensive range of complex open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and potentially robotic-assisted urological surgeries.
Ensure the highest standards of patient safety, quality assurance, and adherence to ethical medical practices across all clinical activities.
Provide expert consultation for complicated urological cases within the hospital and to referring institutions.

Teaching & Academics:

Lead curriculum development and delivery for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (M.S. General Surgery feeder, M.Ch. Urology, DNB Urology) programs.
Serve as the principal guide and mentor for M.Ch. and DNB students, supervising their thesis, dissertation, and surgical training.
Conduct advanced academic sessions, CMEs, workshops, and manage the departmental examination process.

Research & Scholarship:

Direct the department's research strategy, initiating and securing funding for significant research projects (e.g., in uro-oncology, stone disease, reconstructive urology).
Maintain a strong record of publications in high-impact, indexed journals (Medline, Scopus, PubMed Central).
Present pioneering research and innovations at major national and international urological conferences.
