You will be joining the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist within the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS). In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care in specialist ADRS settings, including ADRS Inpatient Units and the Enhanced Drug Treatment Service. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Lead Pharmacist, engaging with various stakeholders, and contributing to the delivery of recovery-oriented care. As an experienced pharmacist, you must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously and make critical clinical decisions. You should demonstrate expertise in Acute Services, community pharmacy, non-medical prescribing, aseptic practices, clinical prescribing systems, drug law reform, harm reduction interventions, and substance use treatment. A Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, along with a postgraduate qualification in substance use or equivalent, is essential for this role. Additionally, you must hold a prescribing qualification and be open to continuous learning. This full-time position entails participation in a flexible 7-day rota, which includes weekends, bank holidays, and emergency cover as needed. You will liaise with various stakeholders, including management structures, staffing groups, treatment services, primary care providers, statutory services, voluntary agencies, and Alcohol and Drug Partnerships within Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
