PGT History

Job Summary:

The PGT History teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured History lessons to senior school students (Classes IX–XII), fostering analytical thinking, historical understanding, and appreciation of socio-political contexts. The teacher is expected to uphold the school’s academic standards while inspiring students to explore history with curiosity and depth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons in History as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE as applicable).
• Develop students’ critical thinking, research, and analytical writing skills through discussions, projects, and inquiry-based learning.
• Integrate technology and creative teaching methods to make learning interactive and meaningful.
• Conduct assessments, maintain academic records, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare students for board examinations and guide them in understanding historical sources, timelines, and interpretations.
• Participate in school events, academic exhibitions, and inter-disciplinary learning initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and professional development activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline, uphold school policies, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in History from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. or equivalent professional teaching qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level preferred.
• Strong command over English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with modern pedagogical tools, digital platforms, and assessment techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
