TeacherPosition: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Geography

Location: RK International School, Meerut

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable PGT Geography Teacher to teach senior secondary classes (Grades XI–XII) under the ICSE/ISC curriculum. The ideal candidate will inspire students through effective teaching methodologies, integrate real-world learning, and prepare them for board examinations with academic rigor.

Freshers with strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach classes XI and XII, ensuring clarity of concepts and examination readiness.
• Design lesson plans, teaching aids, and interactive classroom activities.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate students’ progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for ICSE/ISC board examinations with focus on map work, diagrams, and analytical skills.
• Encourage students’ curiosity about environmental, social, and global issues.
• Organize field visits, projects, and experiential learning opportunities related to geography.
• Maintain student records, academic performance reports, and participation logs.
• Participate in school events, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to improve teaching-learning practices.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of physical, human, and economic geography.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to use maps, globes, models, and digital teaching aids effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate senior students.
• Good command over English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and ICT tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geography.
• B.Ed. (mandatory as per CISCE norms).
• Prior teaching experience preferred, but freshers with strong subject command may also apply.

Compensation

• Salary as per school norms, based on qualifications and experience.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
