Required Candidate’s Profile – PGT English Teacher

1. Educational Qualifications:

• Post Graduate in English from a recognized university.
• Graduate in English (Honours/Pass) from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
• CTET/TET qualified (if applicable as per school board norms).

2. Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of teaching English at Senior Secondary level.
• Experience with CBSE/ICSE curriculum is an added advantage.

3. Subject Proficiency:

• In-depth knowledge of English literature, grammar, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to teach both language and literature components effectively.

4. Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent command over spoken and written English.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Creative and innovative in lesson planning and teaching methods.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to use digital tools (e.g., smart boards, PPTs, educational apps).
• Capable of preparing students for internal assessments, board exams, and other competitions.

5. Personal Qualities:

• Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
• Approachable, empathetic, and patient.
• Energetic, confident, and enthusiastic.
• Strong work ethic and a team player.

6. Other Requirements:

Job Description: PGT English Teacher
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English language and literature to classes as assigned (9th to 12th).
• Prepare lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Use innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
• Assess students through tests, assignments, and projects.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate in school events, activities, and staff meetings.
• Stay updated with curriculum changes and educational best practices.
