Job Description: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) CBSE School Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Subjects: All subjects (English, Mathematics, Social Science, Computer Science, Chemistry etc.) Location: Puducherry, Chennai, Erode, Coimbatore. Employment Type: Full-time Salary: As per CBSE norms and school policy Job Summary: The PGT Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education to senior secondary students (Classes IX to XII) following the CBSE curriculum. The role requires strong subject knowledge, innovative teaching methodologies, and the ability to inspire students towards academic excellence. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with CBSE guidelines. Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments as per the prescribed syllabus. Ensure effective classroom management and maintain discipline. Student Development: Identify and address individual student needs, providing additional support when necessary. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning. Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback. Assessment & Evaluation: Design and evaluate tests, assignments, and projects in accordance with CBSE standards. Maintain student records, progress reports, and report cards. Assist in board examination preparation and conduct pre-board examinations. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment. Use technology-based teaching tools and innovative techniques for better understanding. Encourage student participation in class discussions and activities. Co-curricular & Extra-curricular Activities: Encourage students to participate in academic competitions, Olympiads, and school events. Assist in organizing school programs, subject-related exhibitions, and other extracurricular activities. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest educational trends, CBSE guidelines, and subject advancements. Attend workshops, training sessions, and faculty meetings as required. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory. Experience: Minimum 1-5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred. Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using smart classrooms and e-learning tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Additional Requirements: Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
