Overview Performance testing Preferred tool: Neoload Performance monitoring Preferred tool: Datadog Job Summary: The Performance Tester is responsible for evaluating the performance of software applications under various conditions. This role involves designing and executing performance test scripts, analysing results, and providing insights to ensure applications meet performance standards and user expectations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Design and develop performance test plans and test cases based on project requirements. Execute performance tests using appropriate tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.) to assess system performance, scalability, and reliability. Monitor system performance during testing and identify performance bottlenecks. Analyse test results, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application architecture and identify performance testing needs. Ensure that performance tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline. Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and provide recommendations for enhancements. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Performance Tester or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling). Experience with scripting and automation of performance tests. Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Understanding of Agile methodologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications related to performance testing (e.g., Certified Performance Testing Engineer). Experience with cloud-based performance testing solutions. Knowledge of web services and APIs performance testing.
