Performance Test Engineer

Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Performance Testing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our software applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks, develop test plans, and execute performance testing using JMeter. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus. Key Responsibilities: 1. Performance Testing: - Develop and execute performance test plans using JMeter. - Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. - Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvement. 2. Containerization and Orchestration: - Work with Docker to containerize applications and ensure smooth deployment. - Use Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications and ensure scalability. 3. Database Testing: - Write SQL queries to test database performance and validate data integrity. - Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance. 4. Problem-Solving: - Analyze complex performance issues and identify root causes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance-related issues. 5. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure performance testing is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline. - Communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders. Required Skills: 1. Technical Skills: - JMeter: experience with performance testing using JMeter. - Docker: experience with containerization using Docker. - Kubernetes: experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes. - SQL: experience with writing SQL queries and testing database performance. 2. Problem-Solving Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex performance issues. 3. Collaboration and Communication: - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have: 1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 2. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python). 3. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
