Vehicle Inspector (PDI)
Job Description: The Vehicle Inspector for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of vehicles before they are delivered to customers. This role involves meticulously examining vehicles to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of newly assembled vehicles to ensure they meet quality and safety standards set by the company and regulatory authorities.
Perform detailed visual inspections of the exterior and interior of vehicles, checking for any defects, damages, or inconsistencies.
Inspect vehicle components such as power train, brakes, transmission, suspension, steering, and electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
Test drive vehicles to assess performance, handling, and any potential issues.
Verify that all installed components and accessories are functioning correctly and are properly installed.
Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly, including any defects or issues identified, using appropriate forms or software systems.
Communicate inspection results to relevant departments for necessary repairs or adjustments.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations during the inspection process.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the inspection area to facilitate efficient workflow and ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to address any quality or safety concerns and continuously improve inspection processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in automotive mechanics or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in automotive inspection, preferably in a 3 wheeler/E-Rickshaw manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including Power train, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as diagnostic scanners, pressure gauges, and hand tools.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify even minor defects or irregularities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey inspection findings accurately and professionally.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform inspections, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
