Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled PCB Designer (Hardware) to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for electronic hardware products, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop multi-layer PCB layouts for hardware products (analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal).
  • Translate schematic diagrams into PCB designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar).
  • Select and place components, define routing strategies, and optimize board design for electrical and thermal performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers to ensure design compatibility.
  • Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFT (Design for Testing), and signal integrity checks.
  • Work with fabrication vendors for PCB manufacturing, assembly, and quality validation.
  • Generate all necessary design documentation including Gerber files, BOM (Bill of Materials), and assembly drawings.
  • Conduct design reviews, troubleshooting, and testing of prototype PCBs.
  • Stay updated on latest PCB design standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (diploma holders with strong experience can also apply).
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in PCB design (freshers with strong skills may be considered for junior roles).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of circuit design, component selection, and hardware debugging.
  • Knowledge of high-speed PCB design, EMI/EMC considerations, and power integrity.
  • Experience in SMD, BGA, and fine-pitch component placement.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in drone, IoT, robotics, or embedded system hardware projects.
  • Knowledge of firmware/hardware integration.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
  • Exposure to compliance standards (CE, FCC, MIL, ISO, etc.).
