Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist will report to the Manager, HR Operations and Payroll and is responsible for processing the India payroll and providing support for audits, compliance, and reports. This position will provide backup support for other country payrolls (Canada, Mexico, and United States). Key Responsibilities• Collaborate with external payroll service provider to process payroll for employees, including calculating salary, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.• Maintain accurate payroll records, including attendance, leaves, and compensation changes.• Coordinate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather payroll data, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.• Review and verify payroll inputs, including time and attendance data extracted from LMS for accurate payroll processing.• Review attendance data, bonuses, commissions, and deductions, to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and regulations.• Calculate and facilitate timely payment of payroll-related taxes and statutory contributions, including PF, PT, TDS, MLWF, etc.
