Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper. Review and verify accuracy of patient information, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and billing data. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, ensuring timely resolution and reprocessing. Post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials accurately. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers regarding claim status and billing inquiries. Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other federal regulations. Generate and review aging reports to identify outstanding balances. Collaborate with coders and front office staff to correct errors and prevent future rejections.
