Patient Care Coordinator - Medical Billing

Role Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Patient Coordinator to manage front-line communications and ensure seamless scheduling and support for our patients. You’ll be the bridge between patients and our medical team, helping create a smooth, stress-free experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with warmth and professionalism
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments efficiently
• Verify insurance details and obtain necessary authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information regularly
• Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
• Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient care and scheduling

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in healthcare software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
• Empathetic, patient-focused approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

• Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is advantageous
