• Candidate must have exp in patent drafting

• Should have IPR certification

Designation:

We seek to hire a Patent Analyst to be a part of patent team located at SGRI, Chennai, and work with the team to protect company's innovations. You will work with the business and the R&D team to cater to the needs of patent information and help in optimizing worldwide patent portfolio and strategy. This includes identifying patentable inventions; securing high-quality & strategic patent assets; providing expert technical and legal analysis; and working with R&D and business to provide internal and third-party patent information. This position further envisioned in providing support for enforcement activities in India.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

§ Preparing IP opinions (patentability, FTO, invalidity)

§ Providing insightful analysis of search results from various sources

§ Keep an eye on technology, competition and geography through patent watches and disseminating the insights from patent watches to R&D and Business

§ Assisting in patent oppositions and providing technical support to the enforcement activities through research and analysis of recent cases etc.

Educational Background:

1.   Bachelor/Master degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ECE, Chemical or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from premier academic institutions.

Desired skills & Experience:

a)   In-depth knowledge in search and analytics in a KPO/Inhouse/Law firm set up handling a large patent data sets spanning between 2-10 years.    

b)   Candidate must have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, M.Sc, B.Sc

c)   Strong mastery over patent search databases and analytical tools

d)   Excellent command over the English language (written & verbal)
