Job Description for Compliance Officer (Patent Paralegal) (Candidates from only Pune are preferred) Responsibilities: ● Handling filings of Patents and Designs. ● Handling all the activities related to Patents and Designs. ● Managing Docketing system of Patents and Designs also Monitoring Deadlines. ● Filing all kinds of Patent applications- Provisional, Complete, Divisional application, Conventional application, PCT National phase filing. ● Filing response to FER (First Examination report), Hearing responses and Attending the renewals ● Managing the Docketing system. ● Filing of Design application along with response to FER issued from Design office. ● Filing of all kinds of forms (Form 1,3,5,26, 27-Working statements, Form 18-RFE, 18A, Form 25-FFL etc ● Preparing and filing PCT applications, submission of DAS codes, GPOA with WIPO ● Filing DAS CODE, Certified copies, Assignments with IPO ● Preparing forms for filing the patent application in other countries. ● Tracking deadlines of patent related matters on a daily basis, weekly and monthly. ● Preparing and filing requests for NBA approval. ● Reporting publication notices, ISR issued from WIPO or any other communication received from any patent office. ● Monitoring patent portfolio of all clients, seeking approval from clients for renewals and working statements. ● Cross check with the concerned person if the activities are getting overlapped and also review all the documents before filing. ● Whenever required getting quotations from the foreign countries and maintaining our excel sheets accordingly. ● Preparing FER/Hearing responses for Designs. ● Checking design received documents and sending queries to the client whenever required. ● In absence of a concerned person , take direct calls to the clients in case any deadlines are there. Qualification: ● Patent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications knowledge. ● Experience with Legal Document Preparation and patent Prosecution. ● Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and attention to detail skills. ● Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and to work well independently. ● Basic knowledge of computers and software tools including Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat is essential. ● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in paralegal studies or IP law. Experience : More than 6 months to 1 Year experience is required.
