Panel Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electrical control panels, switchboards, and distribution panels according to wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Perform wiring, crimping, and termination of cables, wires, and components.
• Install electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, meters, PLCs, and other control devices.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with company standards and client specifications.
• Assist in panel testing, troubleshooting, and rectifying wiring or component issues.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and best practices during panel assembly and wiring.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a clean and organized manner.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Document work progress, modifications, and testing results.

Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical panel assembly and wiring (minimum 1–3 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of electrical components, tools, and wiring practices.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices (e.g., IEC, IS standards).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with PLC/DCS panel wiring and automation systems.
• Knowledge of testing instruments (multimeter, continuity tester, megger, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of panel design software (an added advantage).
