Job Title: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – Pain Management

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with expertise in pain management coding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding specific to interventional pain procedures, evaluation and management (E/M) services, and durable medical equipment (DME) when applicable. This role is essential in ensuring accurate documentation and coding to optimize reimbursement and maintain compliance with payer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review clinical documentation and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for pain management services including:
• Epidural steroid injections
• Nerve blocks
• Radiofrequency ablation
• Spinal cord stimulation
• Joint injections
• E/M visits
• Ensure coding compliance with CMS, AMA, and private payer guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with providers to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and coding software to review and code services.
• Monitor and resolve coding-related denials and rejections from payers.
• Stay up to date with coding changes, LCDs/NCDs, and industry best practices.
• Provide feedback and education to clinical staff on documentation improvement.
• Participate in internal audits and quality assurance reviews.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards as defined by department policy.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC required.
• Additional certifications (e.g., CPC-P, CPMA) are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of coding experience in a pain management or interventional radiology setting.
• Strong understanding of procedural coding and medical terminology related to pain management.
• Familiarity with payer policies and prior authorization processes is preferred.

Skills:

• Proficient in EMR and coding/billing software (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
