Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and process-oriented Packing Supervisor to lead and manage packing

operations on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely completion

of packing targets, maintaining packing machinery, optimizing workflows, and enforcing 5S and SOP

compliance. This role demands strong leadership, technical know-how, and a commitment to

operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Shop Floor Operations
• Supervise daily packing activities across shifts
• Ensure adherence to packing schedules and dispatch timelines
• Monitor packing quality and prevent mix-ups or leakages
• Machine Maintenance & Uptime
• Oversee routine checks and preventive maintenance of packing machines
• Coordinate with engineering team for breakdown resolution
• Maintain logs of machine performance and downtime
• Process Optimization
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements in packing flow
• Standardize packing methods and reduce material wastage
• Support trials for new packaging formats or SKUs
• Manpower & Shift Handling
• Allocate manpower based on workload and shift plans
• Train operators on SOPs, safety, and equipment handling
• Maintain discipline and productivity across teams
• 5S & Compliance
• Implement and sustain 5S practices in packing areas
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and visual controls
• Enforce SOPs and safety protocols rigorously

Candidate Profile

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
• Experience: 3–6 years in packing operations, preferably in paint or chemical manufacturing
• Skills:
• Hands-on experience with filling, sealing, and labelling machines
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
• Familiarity with 5S, TPM, and basic maintenance practices
• Proficiency in shift planning and production reporting

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,558.17 per month
