Email for Applications : hr@lohiaworldspace.com Key Responsibilities (KR): Export-Grade Packaging Development Design and develop packaging solutions specifically tailored for international shipping and export compliance. Ensure all designs meet global standards for protection, stackability, and durability during long-distance transit. Optimal Size Utilization Create packaging that maximizes container/pallet space, reduces dead volume, and improves shipping efficiency. Develop size-optimized packaging templates for different product families to reduce logistics costs. Material Selection & Standardization Identify suitable packaging materials that are lightweight yet strong enough for export conditions. Standardize materials and packaging formats across SKUs where feasible to control cost and simplify inventory. Structural & Aesthetic Design Prepare structural drawings, dielines, and mockups using CAD and other design tools. Collaborate with the product and branding teams to align packaging visuals with design aesthetics and brand identity. Packaging Testing & Validation Conduct drop tests, vibration tests, moisture resistance, and compression tests to ensure packaging performance for air and sea freight. Record and analyze test data to refine packaging specifications. Vendor Coordination & Cost Optimization Work with packaging vendors to source cost-effective, high-quality materials. Negotiate pricing and lead times, and explore alternate materials to maintain budget and timelines. Documentation & Compliance Maintain comprehensive packaging specs, test reports, and version-controlled design files. Ensure packaging complies with international labeling, barcoding, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISPM 15, REACH, FSC). Cross-functional Collaboration Coordinate with design, production, dispatch, and quality assurance teams to implement packaging that is practical and production-ready. Provide clear guidelines and training to packing teams on packaging assembly and handling. Innovation & Sustainability Recommend eco-friendly packaging alternatives (biodegradable, recyclable) aligned with customer and market expectations. Evaluate and adopt new trends and technologies to reduce packaging waste and carbon footprint. Project Execution & Timelines Handle packaging development projects from concept to execution with defined timelines. Track progress, manage revisions, and ensure timely delivery of packaging solutions for all product shipments.
