We are seeking an experienced Packaging Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing packaging for festive products with a focus on innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and trendiness. They should be tech-savvy and also have a good knowledge of offset printing.This is a full-time on-site role located in Kolkata. The Packaging Designer will be responsible for creating and designing packaging for Shree Rakhi products. Company Description

Shree Rakhi is the largest manufacturer of Rakhis in India and has a strong network of wholesalers and retailers across the country. We plan to expand into the festive gifting market by offering a wide range of gifting options to tap into the growing demand for festive gifting in India. Our sister concerns include SVF Entertainment which is the largest media and entertainment company in Eastern India that produces, distributes, and exhibits films.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop packaging design concepts that are innovative, functional, and visually appealing while ensuring they meet production and cost targets.
• Create detailed specifications for packaging materials, structures, and graphics, and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with design standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging solutions align with business objectives.
• Manage the complete print planning process to ensure that designs reach the pre-press/printable stage.
• Work closely with printers to ensure that designs meet offset printing requirements and achieve the desired quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends with market research and continuously improve design processes and workflows.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging design, preferably with festive/consumer products. Eg - Greeting cards/wedding invitation cards design.
• Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling softwares.
• Good knowledge of offset printing and the ability to work closely with printers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Branding, Graphic Design, and Typography skills.
• Excellent creativity and ability to think out of the box.
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in packaging design, innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and intricate and detailed designs with a high level of craftsmanship.
